Good Arcade Stick

Post by LtMunst » Tue Sep 04, 2018 7:19 pm

Any recommendations for a good reasonably price Arcade Stick? Tried the 8bitdo N30 and found it to be really bad. Besides being defective and not charging...the sweet spots for the stick actually registering the four directions were ridiculously small to the point of being unusable.

Stock dreamcade controller just isn't very good for arcade...hard to make the corners on pac-man....and my wife keeps complaining about the controls playing burger time...

I can understand the frustration on the 8bitdo Pro. I hear other users with the same issues.

If you have tried the Replay controller. Are you using d-pad or analog stick for movement in arcade? Older arcade games only recognize 4 way not 8 way on joystick movement.

What you are experiencing is lag.
Change current resolution to a lower resolution. Set tv to Game Mode . Use wired controllers as a last resort.

Tried using both d-pad and analog stick...same results. Have resolution set at 720p. Don't believe my Panasonic has a game mode setting but I'll check again.

I'm also a pi user, and some emulators will have that same issue. Specially playing Super Mario Bros. on NES. Thinking you hit jump button and a goomba gets you.

Turning on Game Mode on my Panasonic made a huge difference in lag. Night and day.
