Controller not mapped

Post by fowlken8 » Sat Dec 15, 2018 9:26 pm

I can't get the controller to map correctly for any system.

N64, impossible. I believe the a button is mapped to the left analog stick being pressed down.

NES, same. Super Mario jump, which should be button a is the left joystick pressed down as well.

My dreamcade is viewing the controller as an Xbox one controller for some reason.

Try reconfigure the controls at selecting a game. If this fails, please let me know. And I'll go more in depth to fix this. Could be a bad script that needs to be deleted.

If you look at the controller carefully, the buttons are reversed. But when you did the first initial set up with the controller. Button "1" was button "A" you hit first. When you play the NES or any system, they all have specific written scripts to match the original console controller. For NES, A is actually B, and B is actually A. If you go to any system, and during choosing a game, you can reconfigure the controls to a new preference.

Yes, that is the intent to allow Windows to be properly configured for the Replay controller.

I've tried it at select a game with no luck. I really want this to work.

I'm ready to learn.

Just realized I cannot map the control's "a" button to anything. It's inactive. On NES and n64 so far... Probably more

I tried changing it in project64 configuration and can't assign button a
